Lock over icons

Hello,

Since I ran Check Disk on my external harddisk there are little lock icons over my file icons
Here's an example:

What does it mean?

The lock on the files and folders may appear if you have bitlocker enabled on the drive. It may also resemble that the UAC is active and folders or files can only be accessed using the administrator access. You may refer to the below links –
