Linksys media storage has disappeared from Win 10 Network.

With all the Win 10 updates recently I didn't notice right away but I can no longer see my Linysys USB device, in fact I used to get "Name of Network" in my Network list but nothing now. This is not the only thing that's mysteriously stopped working of late, but probably the most annoying.

Does anyone have a similar problem, or know a fix? BTW, it's ONLY my Win 10 desktop that's decided to be obstinate. My other home computers running good old Win 7 are all showing the network folder which represents my modem-connected storage drive.

Anyone?

That's because Homegroup has been removed and that affect also other network operations.

That's how I have setup my network with Win 10 1803.

Most important part is to start some required services.

That make your PC's visible in File Explorer network devices.

Push Win Key and type "Services", locate those services, start them and set Start type to Automatic (Delayed Start).

Services are:

   - Function Discovery Provider Host

   - Function Discovery Resource Publication

   - SSDP Discovery

Update = Replace old bugs with new ones.

Thankyou for your post... this seemed to half solved my problem.  I completed up to step 3, setting the services to Automatic (Delayed Start), but the steps 4 and 4.1 there was nothing to change.

If I enable Media Server on my Linksys router I can access the files through a html "Twonky" interface, but the whole USB drive used to appear under NETWORK  as my network name, along with the other computer names on my network.  I can't figure out why that has stopped only on my Win 10 desktop. The other Win 7 computers see it as a network drive, accessible and able to copy and move files.

The rest of my network seems to work fine, it's just the router drive that's gone away.
