Left clicking acts like right click

Hey, I’ve gotten a issue recently where whenever I tried to left click, it instead brings up the right click menu. I tried rebooting into safe mode and it still happens. I do not have this issue when I use my mouse on another computer.

If someone can help me out, that will be extremely helpful.

Thanks.

Hi,

The challenge that you are experiencing with your mouse can occur due to several reasons, such as incorrect mouse settings. To better assist you, kindly answer the following questions:

  • When did the issue start? Have you made any significant changes to your computer before the issue started?
  • Have you tried checking your mouse settings? To do so, kindly type mouse settings on the search bar, then press the Enter key. Check if Left is selected as your primary button.

We look forward to your response.

This issue started on September 25th. I only had downloaded an Application called Duet Display before this. And yes, my left click is my primary button. I also tried removing this Program and it's still happening.

Already tried all that, my settings are correct, and it's still happening. I think there's a problem with my computer.

Kindly check if there was a Windows update that was installed on your computer by the time that the issue started. To do so, just open Settings, then go to Update and Security. Click on Update history, and you will see the latest updates that were installed on your computer. If you find a Windows update that was installed during that time, kindly uninstall that update, then check if the issue persists. To do so, kindly follow the steps under How do I remove an installed update? in this article: Windows Update: FAQ.

Kindly get back to us with the results.
