Laptop plugged in but not charging

I'm having some difficulty getting my laptop to charge.

It is a brand-new laptop so problems with the battery and charger shouldn't be a problem.

When I plug in the charger it says its charging, however the percentage does not increase no matter how much time goes by.

I don't know what the issue is, any help or advice is much appreciated.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

1
Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Expand the Batteries section

For each device in that section:

Right click and choose Disable

Then right click and choose Enable

Close Device Manager

Restart your laptop and check if the battery is charging correctly.

2
If the battery is still not charging, click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
