laptop keyboard is not working

The MyAsus Live Update tried to update my keyboard but it keeps failing and now my keyboard is disabled. The keyboard firmware update tool says there are no available keyboard firmware in the update folder. How do I re-enable my keyboard to use it again?

I am an independent advisor here to help

If the Asus live update has failed you may need to contact Asus for a full resolution.

However, if you are able to access device manager can you try uninstalling the keyboard drivers and then reboot the computer and see if windows will install a default driver that allows your keyboard to function?

Thanks James but unfortunately device manager>keyboard>uninstall>reboot didn't fix it.

I am very sorry to hear that the Asus support information was not helpful.

Did you try the live chat with Asus support that is linked on the support page as well? Perhaps they are aware of an alternate way around this issue.

I did try that. I followed their instructions from what i could understand but still in same prediciment.

Heres a screenshot of an error if it helps.

I imagine you already have, but have you tried to download the firmware for the keyboard from here and place it inside of the update tool folder?

I thought about it but i am not sure where the firmware download folder is located and what firmware specifically to put there.
