When I power on my laptop sometimes it does not go to the log in screen but it goes blank/sleep and I just need to press my mouse or keyboard and it goes to the log in screen normally. How do I set it so that it boots up directly to the log in screen instead when I turn on my laptop instead of going blank/sleep?

Hi Blue Chorogon.
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
When you start your computer, your laptop goes into sleep mode immediately. Make sure you keep the power plugged in when you turn on your computer. Sometimes, laptops running on battery power will inevitably go into sleep mode due to battery power. Because the account profile has not been loaded when the exception occurs, it is most likely related to your Bios program. You can update the motherboard's Bios driver in the following ways:
Visit the official website of your motherboard manufacturer (AMD/Intel) and go to the support page of the website. Search for "Chipset" to get the latest chipset driver (i.e. Bios driver). Usually this will be a .exe file or a .zip file. If it is a .exe file, just double-click the file to install the driver. If it is a .zip file, you can use any decompression software to extract the contents and then get the .exe file mentioned above. Follow the software instructions to install the motherboard's chipset driver.
After the installation is complete, restart the computer and see if the problem still occurs. If the problem still occurs, sometimes the influence of third-party software can also cause abnormal sleep function. You can try a clean boot as follows to exclude interference from third-party services/startup items:
(Disclaimer: A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem. These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.)
1. Press Win+R, then type "msconfig" and click "OK".
2. Click "Services" above, and then select the "Hide all Microsoft services" checkbox below. Be sure to select this checkbox, otherwise disabling some Microsoft services may cause serious problems.
3. Use "Disable all" to disable all "services" and click "OK".
4. Click "Start" above, and then click "Open Task Manager".
5. Disable each startup item, try to remember the startup items you disabled, and take a photo to save the information.
6. Go back to "Configuration Information" and click "OK" or "Apply".
7. Shut down the computer and restart it. See if the problem still exists.
