keyboard not working for pincode windows

Hi,

I have a strange problem on my acer laptop:

- When on the windows login screen, my laptop keyboard is not responding in the pincode box (only letters, numbers are ok)

- When using the windows password instead to login, everything works without issue

- tried to solve the problem by restarting the laptop, but this has no effect

- once in windows, everything is working fine

The strange thing is that the screen keyboard is also not responding (tried this after googling my problem)

My drivers are up to date.

What can I do?

Normally, PIN code is a numeric password, and the password is composed of alphanumeric characters. If you are still experiencing issue with your keyboard, you may try to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

  1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
  2. Select Troubleshooting.
  3. Select View all on the top left corner.
  4. Click on Hardware and Devices.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
  6. Check if the issue still persists.
