Keyboard and mouse after factory reset

Hi! I just got a brandnew pc from a builder and they forgot to give me the password to it, I factory reset it and after waiting that hour I finally got to the "Hi there" screen but my pc and mouse though both plugged in and lit up will not work. Here is a few solutions I have tried:

Plugging both keyboard and mouse into different slots

Rebooting computer/unplugging for 30 seconds and plugging back in

I would love to get this solution done quickly, and would hate to have my money go to waste. Thank you!

Hello, wuff meow

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

After a reset, your system might not have installed or recognized the USB controller driver correctly. This can lead to USB ports not functioning properly, which in turn affects the use of your keyboard and mouse. You may need to reach out to your computer manufacturer to find out which drivers need to be installed—they usually provide the necessary drivers for your hardware.
