kb915597 repeated installation and no others updates can get on

This kb915597 update has once again infected my laptop. No other updates are getting in. I checked all my updates and nothing. THis doesn't even show up on my update history. last time this happened, I had to bring my laptop back to the original factory setting. what can be done to stop this.

Hi Mryhgl,

This is by design. Windows Defender will appear often in Windows Update. It is constantly updated with information about the latest spyware and other threats to Windows that are discovered on an ongoing basis.

All of the Windows Defender updates will have that same  (KB915597) number.
