I made a couple posts about this before but thought to make a single post so it won't come off as spammy
KB5050081, which was released a couple days ago gave me multiple issues when trying to install it, the .NET framework update installed fine, however KB5050081 got stuck on a snag and kept getting caught at 74%, I decided to restart all windows update processes such as windows modules installer, windows modules installer worker and mouso core worker process
after doing this, I retried updating and eventually I got slapped with a 0x800f0835 error, said error has rarely any mention online besides a couple of posts for windows 10 upon restarting the processes, it began to get stuck on 20% and fail again with the same error so I decided after this to restart the laptop and it managed to work I guess? someone back in december had a similar situation as seen here with another update with a similar "fix" to mine https://www.tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/217057-kb5048652-update-december-fails-install-0x800f0835-error.html
but I wanna further mention my concern here, could this same problem happen again? is this just a case of a example of a unstable preview update? despite winver showing I'm the latest preview build and the "fix", the update appeared to have caused some things such as the new outlook being not installed and something being broken, as yesterday upon running /SFC scannow, it said broken files got fixed which is the first time I ever encountered such a thing, since then I ran it a few times and nothing has happened yet I feel like I am still not in the clear
The search bar's little image on the right (the "search highlights" thing) has broke partially too, in which the default image (when for example you hide one of the highlights that the image relates to) aka the star one appears instead rather than the proper daily one. This happens after a certain amount of time but search is still usable, the only way to get the image back is ending the search process and having it reappear, or in some cases restarting the laptop but that's a hit or miss
I do want to note I can note that the search process for some reason keeps having that "This UWP process group is suspending processes to improve system performance" thing happen to it, and I do not recall search ever having that apply to it before, could that be interfering with it?
