KB Update downloads

suddenly, I cannot download KB updates for other systems on my Windows 10 PCs. The website launches the Windows Update Catalog which will not complete the download of the selected items in the basket. I get to the point of trying to select the location to which I want to save the selected files, and it stops cold...indefinitely.

what happened to the old tried and true method of just allowing us to download the needed patches and files? How can I obtain the needed patches for other systems and servers now?

Which web browser are you using to perform the download?

PC is Windows 10 & IE11.

The problem is specifically the when the "Choose File Location" dialog prompts for admin credentials and fails.

IF I log into a pc with admin creds, the catalog works OK.

Have you tried creating another username with admin privilages on the same PC? If it works, there is a possibility that there is a problem with the account you are using.
