Kaspersky S.M.A.R.T. check says my hard drive is at 0% health, but Command Prompt says it is ok...

Does anyone know what could have caused the discrepency?

For context, I have an HP laptop, with a 256GB SSD hard drive. I bought it professionally refurbished online 2 years ago.

It originally had a 128GB SSD hard drive, but I paid extra for it to be updated. It runs Windows 10.

CMD often says disk health okay despite being not.
Please download and run HDTune Trial or HD Tune Free.

Select the Disk where OS is installed.

Make screenshots of the following
the health.
the error scan.
the benchmark.
Post back the screenshots.

Thanks. Indeed, your disk has an issue. See "red markings". Your data is fine yet, but you need to replace it eventually.

You may try running long DST from HP Diagnostics at boot as a first step, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info! I ran a long DST and passed with flying colours. It's all ambiguous. I've been hit financially by covid, so I'll just try to get away with it for as long as possible. All of my important files are backed up as a matter of habit anyway!
