Java/Shimeji-ee Program Will Not Open

I was helping my friend download the shimeji-ee necessary files (using java), all of which were working yesterday. However it seems now that it instead opens up a white screen for a millisecond then nothing happens. Neither of us have changed anything on his computer since yesterday, which is weird. I asked him if he had done anything differently, and apparently he tried reconnecting and disconnecting the internet this morning and thats when it stopped working. Both of us have tried many different things such as redownloading java/shimeji-ee/the specific shimeji files we used, restarting and updating his computer, scanning for corrupted files, opening explorer in task manager, but none of which have worked. I'm not a tech expert so I'm not sure if we're doing any of this right but I think it's been rougly 3 hours and I can't find anyone with this issue. It would mean a lot because I created a custom shimeji for the two of us to use.

My friend is using windows 11, his system and files are up to date, and it was previously working yesterday so I'm very confused why it won't even give an error message now.
