issue with windows security, windows security centre services and getting new updates

Hello everyone,

i am having some issues with my pc.

1. my windows security app is not working (always showing black blank screen whenever i open it)

2. i am always getting a notification reads "turn on windows security centre services". while i click it i am getting another error message saying "windows security service can't be started".

3. i am having an update pending with my windows. but i am unable to update it. it downloads fully but while installing it getting some issues and failing.

can anyone give me a solution for these. i believe its all connected with each other.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on.

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender

Please provide a screenshot of that Registry Editor page.
