Issue with LED Scrolling Badge

I have a few LED scrolling badges. they seemed to work before the last major windows 10 update.

When I plug in the badge, the computer recognizes that a device has been plugged in, but rather than showing up under the Com Ports, the device is showing up as a USB input device under human interface devices. I have found updated drivers, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, ive done just about everything, but the device just wont show up under the Com Ports. There are no yellow triangles, there is nothing to show that there is any error, I just plug it into a usb port (ive tried both USB 2 and 3) but it continues to show up under HID as a "USB Input Device" I know this, because I can see a change when I connect the device, something is definitely being added in the device manager, and where there were 5 items showing as "USB Input Device" before I connect the scrolling led badge, there are 6 of them after I plug in the device.

This is really baffling me and I would like some advice please.

Hi,

This can be either hardware or software issues. For us to isolate the cause of the issue, try connecting your badges to another computer and see if it will work. If it doesn't, then it's possible that the badge may be at fault. If there are other USB devices that are plugged in, remove them first before connecting your LED badges as it might create conflict that can stop other devices from running properly.

Get back to us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.
