Is 'Visual C++ Redistributables' Really Needed on Windows10?..

Hi Peeps / Staff and thanks for taking the time to read my Post.

I have Updated to Windows10 on a 32-bit Operating System, x64 Based Processor BUT still have some of the Old Window Programs still active on my Computer, one of them being all the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 / 2010 / 2013 & 2015 versions! Do I really need them NOW and would it be safe to Uninstall them from my System and delete the remaining files and folders??

Thanks in advance for any advices and 'Hopeful' Solutions?!

Peace and Blessings to you.

Hi d0gknees and thanks for your reply.

"Well" at the moment ~

-Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 ATL Update kb973923 - x86 (Last Update 01/10/10)

-Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (Last Updated 01/07/11)

-Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 (Last Updated 11/09/16)

-Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 (Last Updated14/09/16)

-Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable - (Last Updated 27/11/15)

I Upgraded to Windows10 in September 2016 and I have had only two 'Visuals' that are and were recently Updated (last month) but Not the rest of them (thee above) as well as -Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition [ENU] which hasn't been Updated since 12/10/10 ?

MY advice is to leave them alone. Simply having them on your PC won't cause a problem. They really aren't programs as such but more libraries of code that may be used by a number of different programs. That's why I suggest leaving them. It's difficult  to determine what other programs might use these libraries and removing them may break something down the track.
