is there any way to boot to the OOBE in a PC that's already been set up?

going to be receiving an alienware 13 r1 for my birthday, as you can't get these new anymore i had to get it seller refurbished. with these refurbished pcs it will usually log into an account called user or something like that. would there be a way where i could make it boot to the oobe instead of a user account without setting it up?

Hi civity

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Do you basically want to set up you PC again without reloading Windows 10?

If so, backup all your personal files before proceeding

Press the Windows Key + R to open the run dialog

Paste this into the Run Dialog and click OK

%WINDIR%\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe

On the resulting dialog, the OOB should be selected by default, click OK and wait for your system to restart, after a few seconds it will boot into the OOBE

Here is what Leo Notenboom wrote about it...

https://askleo.com/set-up-windows-10-again-with-the-windows-out-of-box-experience-oobe/

Set Up Windows 10 Again with the Windows Out Of Box Experience (OOBE)

It seems informative, but I know nothing of links or downloads that may be at that site. Also, I never did an OOBE that way & can't say how well it will go. Even Notenboom wants to know how well it goes for you. Although you can do most of that through settings individually, OOBE seems to draw those choices all into one experience & sounds worth it. Let us know how well it goes.

But first call the seller & see what he will do. Maybe he sets it up so the first thing you see when you turn on the computer is OOBE. Then, I think, you get to set up your user account/profile from scratch & won't have an unwanted one (that the seller set up) lying around. But I'm unsure of that. And some do say it is good to have at least two Administrator accounts set up at all times anyway.

Here is another article...

What is OOBE or Out-Of-Box Experience in Windows 10?

Again, I know nothing of downloads/links that are there, but be wary of Restoro I've seen it said here. I'm still unsure whether OOBE will let you up your account from scratch or just allow you to reset certain settings.
