Is there a way to downgrade back to windws 1909?

Hello,

Since the release of WIndows 10 2004 my pc is not working properly, even after I've done multiple clean installs,I get the same erros, BSOD etc... I want to downgrade back to 1909 till these problems get fixed, but I couldn't find a way to do it because all of 'em say you have ten days after the update to recover back. Is there a way to downgrade back to 1909 and if yes, please can you help me?

Thank you very much,

Tadeas B.

Hi

If the 10 day time period has passed since you upgraded to Windows 10 version 2004, the only way to go back to Windows 10 version 1909 would be to backup your data and totally clean install Windows 10 version 1909, you would then need to reinstall all your applications . . .

Microsoft does not directly provide the version 1909 ISO, click this safe link to download the Windows 10 ISO version 1909

https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php

Then use Rufus to create a Windows 10 bootable USB ISO that ISO

https://rufus.ie/

Since you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers

Make sure you install the same Edition of Windows 10 (Home, Pro . . . etc.) you previously had installed to avoid Activation issues

And when I'm on the website to download the Windows 10 ISO ver 1909, when I choose the edition of my windows it has only two options; "Windows" and "Windows Home China". I am currently using Windows 10 Pro, so I should install the "Windows' one?. I currently have a Windows 10 Pro, so I am supposed to download the "Windows"

Thank you, I have a last question, (I'm sorry for always asking something I'm not so good with computers and don't really understand them). When I'm gonna install the Windows 1909 should I wipe my SSD before doing so or it will do it itself?

Thank you in advance.

Hi dobra_kastrace

No problem at all . .

when you boot form the USB installation media, you will see a window with 2 large buttons, choose the bottom button (Custom: Install Windows Only)

Then on the next screen, you will see the partitions on your hard drive, select each one and click Delete, note, if you have a separate data partition or drive, do not delete that

Then select the resulting unallocated space and click Next to install Windows
