iphone not reconising itunes on my laptop

Hi can anyone help as when I plug my iphone into itunes on my laptop I do not get the pop up "trust this computer" and therefore my itunes does not recognise my iphone. This has only just happened in the last week. I have had no issues for the past 10 years. The only thing that pops up is if I want to download my pictues or I can charge my phone. It does not seem to want to recognise my itunes. I have spoken to apple and they are saying its a microsoft issue not an apple issue?

My iphone is up to date and my windows is up to date. I am using windows 10. I have tried different cables and different usb ports. Have turned phone on and off and restarted laptop.

Have you tried resetting or reinstalling iTunes?

I suggest you to kindly Uninstall iTunes.
Restart the PC.
Then, go to Microsoft Store and download the iTunes app again.

Hi Anis, the trouble with that is I dont have a backup and itunes has all my music. I was told if I uninstall and install itunes I would lose all my thousands of songs that I have downloaded via my cd's over the years. I am not very computer savvy so I would need to ask someone to help me save itunes to a hardrive. In the meantime I have purchased i-cloud so at least my phone has a backup. I just dont understand why it has been working perfectly for the last 10 years and has just stopped,. Thanks for your suggestion. Kind regards

If you have already purchased i-Cloud, you can sync the files by downloading iCloud as well.

Yes I have already downloaded I cloud and viewed all my files from my phone on my laptop. but I was told by Apple that icloud can't backup my iTunes music for some reason. I'm finding all this a bit overwhelming as I have spent hours and hours trying to work out what is the reason. I got onto the Microsoft help chat and was making some progress as the agent had access to my laptop. They were deleting and reinstalling drivers and checking files then they asked me to reboot my computer without the powecord and they pasted the link in my notes to get back to the chat after my computer turned back on but when I went to the notes section to copy and paste the link it had gone and there was no way to get them back. I'm not really sure what the agent had done or was going to do as I lost the chat so then I had to wait for another hour to try and chat to someone else again and I gave them the case number but even then I had to explain everything again and they didn't really help. So I'm not too sure what to do. It's really hard not being able to actually speak to someone. I don't think it's going to be a simple solution.

I exactly understand what you are going through.
My point is, if you have already backed up your music in the iCloud, you can go for the reinstallation of iTunes. Please take your time. I do not wish to overwhelm you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.
Just let me know if you need any help.

Hi anish thanks for trying to help but as I mentioned my music did not backup from my phone on icloud for some reason. That's why I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes on my laptop. I downloaded all my cds years ago onto iTunes. I have thousands of songs.i am going to call Apple support again this weekend. I also have a tech debt at work which I am going to ask
