IP Helper won't start automatically, despite being set to.

Not only does IP Helper not automatically start, it resets the default properties to default thus going back to "manual" after boot, even though I changed it to "automatic". I've been tinkering with this for quite some time, trying numerous troubleshooting methods. I am currently able to start IP Helper anytime I please, but the goal is not having to do so every time I want to play an Xbox game or chat on the Xbox App, which needs Teredo to function. But Teredo can't function without IP Helper, so that's why I'm bothering with it. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings, unfortunately, my issue with IP Helper and Teredo did not go away after attempting the CMD fix. As for the reset fix, I don't really feel like reinstalling all of my games and apps just because of one driver that I don't really need for day-to-day PC use, unless I decide to play Xbox games or use the Xbox App. It is a little disappointing that I couldn't get things working the way they should be, but I just don't feel like the effort in resetting my PC would be worth it. Especially when I can always go into my services and just enable it manually if I really wanted to use Xbox services. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Almost a week now, and I'm still having severe issues that are preventing me from using the Xbox App. Before, I was able to get by, by simply starting the "IP Helper" service on my PC, now, that isn't enough. My NAT gets stuck on "Moderate" and I'm unable to connect to parties and the App runs slow. Every other platform on my PC runs good and doesn't lag, Steam, Discord, Blizzard App, etc. This issue definitely leads me to believe that this is on Microsoft's end.

Okay, so after an entire week and countless hours of extensive research, I finally found a solution to my issue. To be honest, it's a little embarrassing and quite simple, can't believe I didn't think of it before. What I did was I went into BitDefender and Driver Booster, and I disabled the Game Boost/Game Profile setting in both of the applications, and that fixed my IP Helper/Teredo problem. IP Helper now starts automatically as it should, and I don't have to manually re-enable it every time I want to use the Xbox App. Game Boost and other custom performance settings have been known to interfere with services and adapters, and override their settings. So it makes sense as to why BitDefender and Driver Booster were the culprits. In conclusion, I'm really happy that I stuck it out with finding a solution instead of resetting my PC.
