Hi KenEdobor,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Apart from the Intel DSP, you should also have another Audio driver installed, like Realtek

1
Open Device Manager, expand the Sound Video and Game Controllers section, please provide a screenshot of that window.

2
Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

Hi KenEdobor,

I think this is the support page for your laptop, it is hard to trace that Model No.

Download and install the Realtek drivers from the Audio section.

The only solution that worked for me was:

1. Download the driver from the following url and extract it to disk:

Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (Version 1809 or Later) - ThinkPad P15 Gen 1, P15v Gen 1, P17 Gen 1, T15g Gen 1, T15p Gen 1 - Lenovo Support US

2. From the administrator start the driver update on the "Intel High Definition DSP" device.

3. Select "Search my computer for drivers".

4. Select "Choose from a list..."

5. Select "Game Controllers, Audio..."

6. In the folder where the driver was extracted, select the "IntelHDASST" folder.

7. After this the audio started working although the device "Intel Smart Sound Technology" was added with a warning that it cannot start the device.

8. Probably not optimal but it worked.

---------------------------------------------

La única solución que funcionó para mi fue:

1. Descargar el driver desde la url siguiente y extrarlo en el disco:

Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (Version 1809 or Later) - ThinkPad P15 Gen 1, P15v Gen 1, P17 Gen 1, T15g Gen 1, T15p Gen 1 - Lenovo Support US

8. Seguramente no es lo óptimo pero funcionó.

This worked for me with a slight variation - I installed "Intel Smart Sound Technology OED", which didn't report that it couldn't start, then everything started working, audio included.

The only solution that worked for me was:

6. In the folder where the driver was extracted, select the "IntelHDASST" folder.

7. After this the audio started working although the device "Intel Smart Sound Technology" was added with a warning that it cannot start the device.

I am answering this in case somebody like me has the same issue. The laptop I was experiencing the issue on was the Lenovo P15v. Lenovo actually has a guide to fix this easy, which does not require downloading any additional drivers or anything like that. Here is the link:
