Install/re-install Sticky notes

Sticky Notes is missing.

If you type Sticky Notes in search, not there

of you got to settings/apps etc to try to reset it is missing in the Apps list

Next step would be to go to the Windows Store and just install it again.

The problem is access to the Microsoft store is blocked by group policy in our company.

i have searched and searched and all i find is "Go to Window Store".

How can you re-install an app from the Windows Store without access to the Windows store? i can't find any where to download the app.

All other users have Sticky Notes so it is not a issue that they should not have it.

any help would be appreciated.

I don't understand sometimes why Microsoft makes it so difficult to do things sometimes.

Do they not know that company are going to restrict access to a app store that has games on it for example?

Thank you

Hi,

This seems to be an issue with your Windows installation as I personally have Sticky Notes pre-installed on my Windows 11 machine.

Anyway, if you wish to reinstall it without going through the Microsoft Store application, you can do so by using Winget.

Open a Terminal as an administrator, paste the following command and run it:

winget install --id=9NBLGGH4QGHW

What this code does is use the winget command which lets you install applications. Then tells it to install as Winget can also search for applications and has other uses as well.

Then it gives it the ID that corresponds with the Sticky Notes application from the Microsoft Store.

Hope this was helpful.

Hi Matthew,
My name is Igor, it's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you.

Sorry, but this is your company who blocked an access to Store not Microsoft. You may ask your system administrator for the help.
I'm very sorry, but this forum policy does not allow to discuss a bypassing of a company rules. You may try to re-ask your question on some third-party forum.
