I just bought a My Passport. I cannot get the WD Backup to install. During the process I get a message that says it cannot see a target drive. Any suggestions before I take it back to Best Buy for a refund?

Hi there, thanks for your question.
Firstly, see if your Device Manager shows the drive when it's plugged in:
- Press Windows Key+X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Disk Drives listing to show your hard drives.
If your My Passport appears in there, try right-clicking it and updating drivers. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling it, then click the "Scan for hardware changes" button above the device list to reinstall it.
Once you've done this, try reinstalling the WD Backup software.

it didn't worked!
even talked with WD support representative. She tried much but didn't installed on Windows 10.
In a single click I am able to install it on Windows 7.
