Installing the Microsoft People app

My People app was broken, so I decided to reinstall it. I deleted the app through PowerShell, however I wasn't able to reinstall it. I've tried various methods, but none have worked yet. I'm pretty frustrated by now. Does anyone know ways to install the People app and bring it to work again?

I think I should clarify: I can download the app from the Store, however I cannot open it and doesn't show up in the Start menu or in the search. According to the app settings, the app is only 16kb big.

Thanks for your help!

Good Day Relativokay,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.
I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.
-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Settings
-Click Update and Security
-Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.
-Look for Windows Store Apps and run the troubleshooter.

You can refer to these steps below.
1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Type wsreset.exe and hit enter.

Wait for few seconds while it is resetting the Store cache.

Re-register the Store App

-Press Windows key + X
-Click Windows Powershell Admin
Copy and paste each of the command below and hit enter.

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}

Wait for few seconds while it is re-registering the Store app.

Restart your computer and check the People app.

If the issue persists, perform Repair Upgrade, this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.
Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".
Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".
Step 5: Let it install

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

With Warm Regards,
Carlo T.

I noticed this issue, windows removed it from being a regular app and being able to search it for in start recently.  If you right click on the taskbar and click the show people on taskbar and then click the people icon and go to apps you should be able to access it.
