What's with the recent greatly increased frequency of ads in Microsoft Solitaire? If it's a marketing strategy, it's a fail as I will no longer play these games, preferring to play one of the many online versions that keep their ads unintrusive and under control. My most recent experience was three 30 second ads that played before I got to the game - ridiculous!

Hi Darhyl,
The link you sent is not really useful as they insist on error codes (there is no error). They're not really set up for general policy enquiries such as mine.

This might help reduce the ads, you may try to perform these steps according to Independent Advisor LuizScruz: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsofted...
"Update apps from the Microsoft Store;
Open the store and click Library;
Click Get Updates and wait until all apps are updated;
Reset the Microsoft Solitaire Collection app;
Press Windows key + i and go to Applications;
Select Microsoft Solitaire Collection from the list and click Advanced Options;
Scroll down the page and click on Reset;"
If the issue persists, I'm afraid the only option is to purchase a Premium Solitaire Subscription to experience an ad-free perk. You may check this link for more information regarding the subscription:

Similar issue for me too, except all I ever get now is ads!!
SIX ads in a row, including the now additional mandatory download page for the previously viewed ad
The support link you provided is likewise worthless, as there is no "error message" to display
Way to piss off your customers, Microstuft!
Linux is looking better every day....

I agree. Ads about slots and other **** that no one wants. I typically get to about 4 or 5 ads and I just shut off the system and go do something else. Microsoft should be totally fxxxing ashamed.

They have to quit this money grab. I play something like solitare for relaxation not annoyance. The only answer is to uninstall this garbage IMHO. These large corporations worth billions are never happy, no matter how much they make. Pathetic.

Just wait until Microsoft no longer supports Windows 10 and forces you to buy Windows 11. Most people will be surprised when they have to spend $400.00 or more to either upgrade their computer or buy a new one. I"M NOT. I have already chosen Linux Cinnamon Mint. It's closest to the Windows environment, completely free, and comes with a full suite of their own office program. Linux's office is fully compatible with Windows. People are going to leave Microsoft in droves. I know. I'm a computer repair technician. HA. HA.
