In Windows file explorer, how to sort by date created?

Hi all, I am trying to download photos to my external hard drive using my Windows laptop and when I click sort by, the only option is "Date modified". How do I sort my photos according to "Date created" or "Date taken"? When I click on details, the date created shows up but I am unable to list them according to this, only date modified, which is the date I downloaded them from iCloud and is not helpful at all as everything gets jumbled up. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

If you right click and hover over "Sort by", there is an option to select options that aren't listed. Once a new window comes up, you can push the letter D on your keyboard, and it will automatically scroll down the list until it finds the first listing that starts with the letter D.

You can then find the way that you want to sort, check the box, and then push OK. Then, if you right-click and go to "Sort by", you should be able to sort by what you chose.

Let me know how this goes.

Hi Joey,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

In the Detail title bar, right-click on an area of the title bar > The "Date Created" option is included in this list > Tick it to enable. Then, click on it to sort the photos by Date Created.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
