These processes are from having multiple tabs open, and possibly extensions running. You can drill down into Chrome's processes by pressing SHIFT + ESC. This will open Chrome's Task Manager where you can see what is using your CPU and memory/RAM.
As for svchost.exe, these are for system services and should be left alone. They are usually running under the SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE accounts.
