Im trying to install windows, and it works perfectly fine till I signed in and crashes

PC randomly started crashing after working for 2 and a half years with no problems. everytime it turned on it went straight to repairmode with no solutions working not even full restore., never figured out the problem. So did fresh install on blank 2tb SSD with no other hard drives. Was working completely fine until I signed in, and it crashed and went to repair mode. Luckily repair mode worked but restarted windows setup. What should I do?

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your Windows installation. Here are possible solutions:

  1. Check for Hardware Issues: Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool to check for any memory issues. Press Windows + R, type mdsched.exe, and follow the prompts to restart and check for memory problems.

  2. Update BIOS: Ensure your BIOS is up to date. Visit your motherboard manufacturer's website, download the latest BIOS update, and follow the instructions to update it.

  3. Remove Dedicated GPU: If you have a dedicated graphics card, try removing it and using the integrated graphics to see if the issue persists.

  4. Check Event Viewer: Open Event Viewer (press Windows + X and select Event Viewer) and look for any critical errors around the time of the crash. This can give clues about what might be causing the issue.

  5. Disable XMP Mode: If you have XMP mode enabled in your BIOS, try disabling it. This can sometimes cause stability issues.

  6. Re-download ISO: Sometimes the ISO file used for installation can be corrupted. Try downloading a fresh copy from the official Microsoft website.

  7. Check Disk Partitions: Ensure there are no partitions on the SSD that might be causing conflicts. You can use Disk Management (press Windows + X and select Disk Management) to check and delete any unnecessary partitions.

  8. Reset BIOS to Default: Reset your BIOS settings to default and see if that helps.

If none of these steps work, it might be worth contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance.

I hope one of these steps helps resolve the issue!

I don't have windows to try most of those options. But I have finally just tried making a new account and seems to be installing with no issue.

Thanks
