I played a music on Spotify and after 10 seconds, the music stopped but it was still playing

I played a music on Spotify and  after 10 seconds, the music stopped but it was still playing. I had to restart the music over to play the whole song properly. If I skipped 30 seconds, it wouldn't make a sound, but it would still continue to play.  This also happened playing videos on the internet. It would freeze but continue to play.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps:

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio.

Refer these steps:

  1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
  2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  4. Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

 

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website.

  1. Press “Windows + X” and select      Device manger.
  2. Select Audio input and output and expand the driver icon.
  3. Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
