Hi Mary,
I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.
Right click Start and select Windows Powershell(admin)
Paste the following command:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Press Enter, restart your PC and check.
If that doesn't help, your PC may need updates.
In the search, type winver and press enter. Note the Build and version number and post in the next reply.
Sumit
