I can`t install WinPcap in windows 8

Hello Guys,

I need to install WinPcap so I can use the GNS3 , but due to incompatibility issue with windows 8 , it won`t install.
Any idea!!

As far as I can see, WinPcap is compatible with Windows 8. what version of WinPcap are you trying to install? Have you tried installing with compatibility mode?

Download WinPcap version 4.1.2: http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm

I tried that link as well .
When i download it and run it , it said " This program has compatibilty issues" with two option ,  one to get the online help "which didn`t help at all" and the second to run it without help , which i did , but get issue with the gns3 then!

" This version of Windows is not supported by WinPcap 4.1.2 , the installation wil lbe aborted"

Did you try installing the app using compatibility settings?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh994464(v=vs.85).aspx

If the issue still persists, you need to wait till next version of WinPcap.

it will work for you, if u change its compitable mode to windows 7 by going through properties first then click to compitability then click to windows 7 and apply it..
surely it will work for you.
