I cant get windows threat protector to remove a file

Every time I run a scan it detects PUABundler:Win32/CheatEngine as being active and of low threat, I try and take action to remove it but every fresh scan the same file is detected. Malwarebytes doesn't detect anything but I still don't feel confident

Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.
Let me help you with this issue.
I understand your Windows Defender scans and detects PUABundler:Win32/CheatEngine as active and Malwarebytes does not detect any threats.
Have you tried uninstalling any software related to the PUABundler?

"Most files detected by Microsoft security software are quarantined. This means the file is moved and stopped from running or doing anything to your PC.

A quarantined file does not pose any risk to your PC. You can leave a file in quarantine for as long as you like."

Since Malwarebytes did not detect any threat, it means that the PUABundler:Win32/CheatEngine does not pose any threat to your machine.
I had the same encounter when I installed a torrent app, I could not remove it from Windows Security, and Malwarebytes does not detect it anymore either. After some time Windows Security eventually removes it from the quarantined items.

You can try to scan your machine with Microsoft Safety Scanner.

I uninstalled and deleted all the files from my PC that were setting off the threat detector. It was the cheat engine and another file related to improving graphics for a game.

Glad to hear that the file detected shouldnt be work worrying about.
