Hi christopherhewitt122

My name is Sarah Kong and I am an independent adviser that is here to try and help you with your issue.

Out of curiosity is this a work PC?
If so could be a policy removing Chrome... we do that on our corporate workstations.
If not try and remove from safe mode.

I am using windows 10. Over the past month I have lost chrome more than ten times. Some time I can uninstall and reinstall.

Now I am unable to uninstall as I am told to close all chrome sites. Also the computer will go thru all the steps of reinstalling. I get the chrome app. But it does not function.

Hi Chris. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you.

Uninstall Chrome in Settings > Apps > Apps and Features.

Restart PC, unhide Hidden Files in File Explorer > View > Options > Change Folder and Search Options > View > enable Show Hidden Files, approve security box, Apply, Save.

Delete all Chrome sub-folders within Google folders in C:\Users\Your User Account name and in both C:\Program Files folders. Restart PC again.

Reinstall Chrome from a fresh download here: https://www.google.com/chrome/

Observe closely after adding any Extensions or making any other changes if these affect Chrome. The problem is likely with one of those, or a conflict with another program. Are any other programs problematic?

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. If you'll wait to rate whether my post helped you, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
