I accidentally changed my display registry settings, I changed the data value in featuretestcontrol via regedit but i don't remember the former value what do i do now?

I accidentally changed it while i was googling why my laptop screen was dimmer than usual and i came across a thread where a microsoft advisor had advised someone else to go to regedit and do the same so i tried but i haven't restarted my laptop yet so how do i undo it? I changed it to'ffff' from a value which i think was 1202 or something like that, pls help. will it harm the system or is it okay if i restart it? Image

Hello,

Your screenshot is not coming through. Can you resend the screenshot? Without knowing which registry item you changed, it is impossible to tell you if it is ok, or what you should change back.

8200 is a safe option that allows older hardware/programs to work.

What's your graphics card? Is it Intel, NVIDIA or AMD?

In that case 8200 is fine. You can also simply delete it as default.
