Hello Luiz,

Thanks for replying. Security updates from Microsoft can no longer be uninstalled from the Installed updated window. Right click won't show the uninstall option either.

Dear Kilyk777,in that case I recommend that you try to perform a system restore to a date before the update;

- Press the "Windows + R" keys now type RSTRUI and click "OK".

- Click on "Show more restore points" so that more options for dates to restore appear and then choose a point with a date prior to this problem;

- Proceed on the screens until the restoration is started and completed.

Note: System Restore will leave the computer as it was on the date you choose, that is, if a program was installed after the chosen date, the program will not appear installed after the restoration, and so on. Personal files and data are not lost, such as documents, music, videos, photos, etc.

Check if you can complete the system restoration;

I hope I helped, see you soon!

Anytime I have performance issues on one of my systems, I like to keep open the Task Manager to the performance page to see if anything is going on there.  High usage of CPU or Drives could indicate were the problem lies..

i have the same issue with slowing down aswell on both my computers because windows forced the update to happen, i rolled back the update which fixed it but windows eventually came to ask again when i wanted that blasted update installed.

I started noticing the stuttering too after I was stupid enough to go through with the KB5003173 update (after postponing it for as long as possible)
Every time I open a new window, a game overlay notifies me of something, or sometimes when loading a new web page, everything slows down to a crawl.

It wasn't like this BEFORE that blasted update.

My PC has pretty good specs too, so the problem is certainly not hardware related.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, GTX 1080 Ti, 32 GB RAM - 3600 MHz, OS is running on an M.2 drive.

A curious side note: I noticed that the power usage is fluctuating a lot more now, where it used to be relatively stable between 110-120w when idle (total system power consumption) before the update, and now it is sitting between 90-170w after the update. so something is definitely not right. I have the ROG Thor power supply, which has an OLED display built in, telling the power usage in real-time.
