HP Support network check does not work

I've been having connectivity issues recently and have been suggested to use the HP Support network check. When I click it on the HP Support Assistant, it opens up the webpage where I can launch it from there, but it just opens another tab with the same webpage. The window for the network check doesn't launch.

And sometimes, because of the connectivity issues, I've had no wifi in which the webpage will not even open. There is a prompt that shows up where I can launch the HP Network Check, but when I click on the button nothing happens. Am I perhaps missing something?

Hi Yoonity, Please try this:

Click your Start Button, type cmd and choose Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

ipconfig /flushdns

Close Command Prompt

Open the Settings App

Go to Network and Internet

Click the Network Reset button

Wait for your PC to automatically restart after 5 minutes


If that does not rectify this for you:

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Menu)

Expand the network adapters section

What WiFi device is listed there?

If not, what is the exact Model No. of your HP system

Please send us the system SKU.

Right click Start>Run
Type in msinfo32 and Press Enter.
In the system summary, note the system SKU and post in the next reply.
