HP LaserJet 3030 drivers for Windows 7

Windows 7 and the HP Drivers for scanning on our HP LaserJet 3030 don't appear to like each other on our new HP Pavillion e9300z Desktop. Even though Windows updater says we have the latest.

Essentially, the scanning process on the HP LaserJet 3030 is now as slow as molasses and sometimes in the middle will stop and close Adobe Acrobat 9 down - the program we use to capture the PDF file.

Don't have this problem using Windows XP Pro with the same version of Adobe Acrobat on a Dell 8300 Dimension  Desktop.   Not sure where the problem lies - have checked drivers for the Laserjet and HP PC.

Would sincerely appreciate any insight someone may have.  Thank you.

Hi,

a. Were you able to use this printer without any issues earlier on windows 7?
b. Does this happen with some specific file?
c. Do you get any error messages?

First try running the troubleshooter and check what it has to say. Follow the steps provided in the below article.

Open the Printer troubleshooter

You may also try uninstalling and re-installing the device driver and check if this helps.

You may try removing it from Programs and Features.

1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.
2. Select a program, and then click Uninstall. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Restart the computer.

You may also download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

Check for error messages in event viewer. If you find any error messages then post back the exact error message so that we can help you better.

Steps to check Application Event log:

1. Click on start.
2. In the search box type eventvwr.msc and press enter.
3. Now click on Application under Event Viewer (local).
4. Now look for event log on right hand side of the Event Viewer windows.

Hope this information is helpful.
