How would I get get automatic Security Intelligence updates on Windows 11 Pro?

How would I get get automatic Security Intelligence updates on Windows 11 Pro?

I notice the last update of Security Intelligence was almost 3 years old.

I just updated it manually by clicking the search for update feature.

There's got to be a practical way to do this update automatically.

Anyone know how this is done?

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

By default Windows Defender should automatically fetch updates through Windows Update. However, you can verify the settings to make sure they are enabled using below steps :

1: Press Win +S , type " Windows Security" , open it.
2: Go to "Virus & Threat Protection", Under Virus & Threat Protection Settings, click Manage settings.
3: Ensure to Turn on " Real-time Protection", "Cloud delivered protectionn", "Automatic sample submission".
4: Go back and Under Virus & Threat Protection, click on Protection updates and click on Check for updates for latest updates to be installed.
