How to unlock a locked alt button?

We regularly have an incident where users manager to active the alt button like it is locked. Then every time they press a letter it is like they press ALT+letter. How do I solve it without rebooting?

Hi,

1.What is the make and model of the keyboard?

2.Is the computer on a domain network?

 

Method 1.

Plug in another keyboard and check if that helps.

Plug in this keyboard to another computer and check if the issue persists.

 

Method 2.

It is often possible to "unstuck" prefix keys by tapping all six keys one after the other: left Ctrl, Shift, Alt, right Ctrl, Shift, Alt.

 

Method 3.

You may also use the on-screen keyboard and check if that helps.
