Answer

Hi,

Thank you for being a part of the Windows 10 family. Let me assist you.

Provide us with the below details for better clarity on the issue.

1. Which email are you using to download pictures?

2. If you are using Mail App, what is the location selected for downloads?

As you are trying to open downloaded pictures from email on the Photos App, please be informed, the default source for Photos App is C: > Users > Username > Pictures. This means all the pictures under the Pictures folder will be displayed on the Photos App. You can still add more folders on Photos app, so that those pictures can also be displayed on the Photos album.

Refer the article for steps:-

In case of Mail App, as you click on the attachment, a save location pop up will open. Select a desired save location for the pictures and further add the source of the location on the Photos App. In case of other emails, you may add the download location folder to Photos App likewise.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.
