how to stop pop up ads in windows 10.

Popup ads come from the browser, so the first thing to do is go into the browser's Settings to turn on the Popup Blocker.

If that isn't enough each browser should have an extension you can install that blocks popups more thoroughly. Here's now to find one and install it: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001888.htm

There are system notifications that popup from the bottom right tray to notify you about Windows Security, Mail, etc. Those are controlled in Settings > System > Notifications. More on turning them off here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-...

There are also Mail notifications set in Mail Settings (Gear icon at bottom of Inbox) > Notifications > Choose one or all accounts to apply checkbox settings below.

Where exactly in Windows 10 are you seeing a pop up ad, at the desktop, Start menu, when you are in an application?

Click Start > Settings > System > Notifications & actions
Under Notications, toggle off
