How to set different wallpaper to different virtual desktops in Windows 11

How to set different wallpaper to different virtual desktops in Windows 11 (as it shown on pic 1).

I try to do it through:

Settings=>Personalization=>Background=>Right click on chosen pic=> Set for desktop... (as it shown on pic 2).

It didn`t work. When I chose some pic to set it as background for one of the desktops, system set it automatically as background for all of them.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you right click the thumbnail view of that Desktop on the Taskbar do you get the option to set a separate background for that virtual Desktop?

Thank you for that screenshot, your system is fully up to date, so most likely this is caused by a bug in a recent update, the best option would be to open the Feedback Hub (Windows Key + F) and report this to the Windows developers there so they can investigate the underlying problem.

I too have the same issue as Alessandro.

However, the issue is only if I want to use Slideshow or Windows Spotlight. If I choose Picture instead, then I can pick individual pictures for each virtual desktop. They won't cycle through a random selection but at least they are different so I know the focus of the screens and apps I have open.
