How to reset "show only display 2" setting?

Hey! I've got a PC with Windows 10 and one monitor. I wanted to add a second monitor (note that this one's an old 4:3 display w/ VGA cable). I bought an adapter from VGA to HDMI (my graph card has 1 HDMI and 3 DP slots, one of the latter is for my main monitor). The first time I connected the 2nd monitor it went by default into extended display with the lowest resolution possible. When I tried to change the resolution, the 2nd monitor said 'input not supported'. Going back to the initial (and/or 'recommended') lowest resolution, it STILL said 'input not supported'. Also, I accidentally checked the 'show only display 2' and whenever I connect this old monitor, and being 'not supported' I can't revert back because my main monitor is out of signal.

How can I reset this setting 'show only display 2' and/or revert back to the default resolution that was initially accepted by my second display?

Hi Valentin. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Change the resolution of Dual Monitors separately as shown here:
https://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/diff...

To change the order of the monitors to get access to the one without signal, drag them to opposite order in Settings > System > Display > Rearrange your Displays.

See the best guides here for how to set up Dual Monitors:
