How to remove One Drive from my Quick Access Bar

I have moved all my One Drive files from the cloud back to my PC and deleted the OD program which I don't need for anything. However, OD is still shown under my Quick Access Bar and I want to remove it.

I was told that I could do that by right clicking it on the Quick Access Bar and clicking on "Unpin" to remove it. However, when I do that, I get this message.

What do I need to do to remove OD from the Quick Access Bar?

Thanks for your help.

Hello! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

In case the unpin option is not working for you, you can also try the steps below to remove this:

1-Open the File Explorer
2-Click on the View tab then click on the options
3-Click on the "Clear" button under the privacy section
4-Click on Apply and Ok to save the changes

This is in reference to one of the community thread here posted by our fellow member RobinsonSilvestre.

I hope it helps. But let us know here how it goes or if there are still problems removing it.

Hi Ben-

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, this didn't work.

Results of scans:

1) It did a verification, found corrupted files, and repaired them.

2) Found no corruption.

3) Found no corruption.

After doing the above, One Drive was still in Quick Access. I tried unpinning it, no longer got the message, "This file does not have an app associated with it..." but was still unable to unpin it from the Quick Access Bar.

You referenced another option that would clear everything from under the Quick Access Bar including One Drive. Before I do that, I need to know how how Quick Access will be repopulated. Does it happen automatically, or do I do it manually? I am asking because I mistakenly have my MS Word program in my Documents folder and I want to move it out of there to stop it from syncing with Quick Access. I'm thinking that before I clear everything from Quick Access, if it is going to automatically repopulate (the next time I reboot Windows? ) I should move my Word program out of my Documents Folder before I clear Quick Access. Does that make sense?

Thank you again for your response. I'm sorry my issue is so darn complicated.

You can do it manually & very easily by right-clicking on the folder or file you want on "Quick Access" and choosing "Pin to Quick Access".

Thank you for your response, Jiyas.

The thing is, I don't want to pin it on Quick Access, I want to unpin it, and the darn thing is stuck like glue!

I am sorry for the confusion. What I meant is, after you clear everything from the Quick Access, you can pin the folders you want manually by right clicking on it.
