How to let a regular user access apps that need administrator permissions?

So basically, I have a custom pc I built and some apps that came for my pc from ASRock my motherboard brand every time you open it, it has to have administrator permissions. They control RGB on my pc, fan speed, power consumption, etc. I need a non-administrator user to be able to access these apps without needing me to put in my pin or anything. Thank you in advance.

Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

In this case, you could create a shortcut with runes to run the applications without asking for administrator access by saving the credentials.

In this case, you would disable ASRock Motherboard Utility and ASRock Polychrome RGB initialization.

On clean boot you would have to do this under the administrator account.

Then you would create a shortcut for these applications

We will click on the shortcut tab and in Destination we will type: runas /savecred /user:administrador before “C:\…”. , click Apply and Ok.

Applying will save once and will make the first request for the administrator account password. After that, entering it correctly will save and start directly the next time.

No, maybe I'm not doing something right but when I tried to create the shortcut and type that it says it cannot be found, and it keeps putting the runas /savecred /user:administrador part as a file and putting C:\ before it.

Hi ,

In this case, it has to be like this instead of user: you enter the name of your administrator user.

Hope this helps.
