How to I change my sign in settings so that it defaults to PIN on the lock screen?

Ever since one of the last Windows 10 updates, the sign in method defaults to password instead of PIN. How do I change it so that it defaults to PIN when locked or after restarting?

Hello,

Is the PIN currently set up?

Typically you can just use the "sign in options" to switch to using PIN, and it should then use PIN next time.

Otherwise, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, scroll down to mid page, make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned ON.
