Hi Mary. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

WIndows Live Mail has been discontinued. I recommend Windows 10 Mail app which works quite well and is a worthy successor to WLM.

Follow this guide to get Set up and understand all of the features of Windows 10 Mail, which is a sync service so it doesn't actually store mail but only syncs your Mail and folders from your various web and Office mail accounts:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Good day! I apologize that you are having this issue and I am hoping we can work through it and fix it.

Live mail was discontinued. Have you tried to use outlook.com and sync your email addresses to it? Everything that was hotmail, live, and live mail were all combined into outlook

Hi Mary -

Is this the Windows 10 Mail app (the envelope icon on the task bar)?

What works most is to go to Mail Settings (gear icon at bottom of Inbox) then Manage Accounts, then choose the problem account(s), then Delete the Account.

Restart PC and retrace that path to add the account back. Make sure the Sync settings are as desired for how far back you want mail Downloaded from, whether to include Calendar and Contacts (People app).

If that's not enough then Reset the Mail app at Settings > Apps and Features > Mail & Calendar > Advanced Options > Reset. Restart PC.

Finally if nothing else works reinstall the Mail and Calendar app from Option Two here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3175-apps-re...

This may be caused by a recent Windows Update.

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Installed Update History to see which Updates were installed about the time this started to try uninstalling them to see if that helps.

You also might also be able to get back before it via System Restore: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-t...

Then if it or any other Update reinstalls and causes the same problems, uninstall it again and block it using the Hide Updates tool here: https://www.howtogeek.com/224471/how-to-prevent...

If necessary you can perform these operations in Safe Mode: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-saf...

If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

I hope this helps.

Yes.  No email associated with it.  I have deleted and created a new email account but it won't read the domain.  Where would I find the domain?

The problem right now with discontinued WIndows Live Mail is it's actively having its features shut down: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3067121/e...

So if you haven't set up Windows 10 Mail yet I'd try that next: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-get-started-...
