How to fix not being able to reset a pc

I currently have a blue error screen on my pc that doesn’t let me go to my home page. I try to restart it but it always fails and hasn’t worked. When I try to reset my pc using the troubleshoot setting in the choose an option page. It always has a problem no matter if I choose to get rid of all files or keep my files. I’m pretty sure I’ve downloaded a virus and I can’t download a virus protection application since I’m stuck at the blue page. I don’t know what to do and I need help.

To help with reset, you will need to create an installation media (flash drive), then you might as well use it to clean install instead. That should get your Windows up and running again unless you have hardware issue.

To perform a clean installation of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool. You do need to get access to another computer so you can download the Windows installation files into a flash drive, then use the flash drive to help your computer. Hopefully you have a spare computer, or you can have friend or family help you.

The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:

Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win... click on the "download now" button under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"

Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."

Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."

Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.

Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."

The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.

Now these steps will  be done on your problematic computer:

Go to the computer's BIOS boot menu to have it boot from the USB drive.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11, making sure to choose "Custom install" and select the option to delete all existing partitions.

Once the installation is complete, you'll have a clean installation of Windows 11 on your computer.

Hi sorry about this, but I can’t find the create installation media for another pc. It will ask me to accept the terms and services and then it will go straight to what language and edition I want and then it goes to choosing which media I want to use.

Oh ok, do you have the option to choose usb flash drive as media? If so, you can continue doing that.

Were the file successfully downloaded to the flash drive?

How did you use the flash drive? Did you go to BIOS and boot the flash drive from BIOS then? I can't quite tell exactly at which step you ran into this issue if you don't mind being specific about the step.

The files weren’t downloaded onto the flash drive. I used your link and accepted the terms and services, selected a language and what type of windows I wanted, selected flash drive, and downloaded. That’s all I’ve done. I didn’t access bios at all. I’m going to try and see if a different flash drive will work.

The download just finished and the same issue occurred do you know any way to fix this? I don’t know why it keeps on popping up even though I followed your directions.

And this is after you have tried a different flash drive?

This can be due to internet connection. Make sure you have good stable internet. If you have third party antivirus program, you might want to disable it.

What type of computer are you using to run this? What Windows version?
