How to fix explorer.exe and some microsoft store apps not working?

System specs:

R7 5800H

16GB RAM

512GB Storage

W11 22H2

Microsoft Apps Problems

Ever since I installed W11 I noticed calculator didn't work. It would open for some seconds and then instantly close. No big deal.

I eventually started trying to fix it after some updates and it still being broken. In troubleshooting, I eventually tried to go and see if there were any updates in the microsoft store. Then I noticed that the same happened with the Microsoft Store. Now that's a real problem. Next was phone link. I was using it alright until today but now it opens but doesn't appear in the desktop. I've tried resetting and repairing these apps multiple times, to no avail.

Explorer Task Problems

Another thing that's affected my experience since upgrading is the taskbar and other explorer.exe problems.

Firstly, the windows start menu doesnt work. Clicking it doesn't do anything, nor does the windows key. My only medium to turn off the laptop is left clicking it and turning it off there. I also npticed that the screen organization thingy option doesn't work either. When I click it it loads for 1 second then tyhe whole taskbar disappears and the explorer task resets. I've tried resetting the explorer task many times, it doesn't work. I don't know what to do

So yeah that's it. Windows 11 is a mess and the 10 day trial has ended so I can't even roll back. To Windows 10. Any help on the issues would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out. My name is, Zadee. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

It sounds like your profile got corrupted after the upgrade. Try to correct this by running an in-place repair, Sergio.

This will not delete any data or reset your windows, this will simply correct corrupted system files in your computer.

Please follow these steps for the windows repair:

1. Go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

2. Under "Create Win 11 Installation Media". Click Download Now.

3. Run the MediaCreationToolW11.exe that you just downloaded.

4. Agree to Terms.

5. Don't change anything. Click NEXT.

6. Select ISO File. And Save it to your desktop or anywhere on your computer where you can easily find it.

7. Once done with the download. Double-click the ISO file and run the "Setup" file.

8. Accept Terms again.

9. Make sure to leave the setting "Install Windows 11" and "Keep Personal Files and Apps"

10. Wait for the installation to finish.

Best Regards,
