How to find the issue causing game crashes and blue screens/black screen?

Hello, I would be happy if someone could help me find the issue with my PC.

I get crashes when playing videogames (almost every day with most of my games), also blue screens a few times a month and sometimes a black screen and the PC restarts.

Already tried the following:

  • Updated GPU drivers and other system drivers
  • Clean install windows from USB
  • RAM diagnosed with windows tool, apparently RAM is OK
  • Stress tests on CPU, GPU, Disk, RAM
  • Have had this issue for more than a year, recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, still same issues

All PC components were bought approx. 2.5 years ago (completely new from retailers)

I have had blue screens while gaming, watching Youtube, or even just when I turned on the PC. With loud noise

Also black screen and after that the PC restarts.

Games crash too with no blue screen, I just get an error from the game with an option to send a report of the crash to the game developer

Please perform the following steps in sequence:

    1. The BIOS: Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 2606, 8/13/2020

    Upgrade the BIOS: 2606 > 4602

    https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x570-e-gaming-model/helpdesk_bios/

    1. The CPU Ryzen 7 3700X supports RAM speeds Up to 3200MHz

The RAM speed at the time the V2 log collector ran was 3600MHz.

Please boot to the BIOS and turn off XMP during the troubleshooting.

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/cpu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-desktop-processors/amd-ryzen-7-3700x

    1. Run Tuneup plus:

(bat scripts by default prompt antivirus software and require manual overrides)

    https://www.elevenforum.com/attachments/tuneup_plus_log-bat.36285/

Post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

This script will modify settings and optimize the creation of memory dumps, run scannow, restorehealth, and chkdsk.

It will also turn off automatic restart so that it is easier to detect BSOD.

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the Nvidia GPU drivers nvlddmkm.sys

    nvlddmkm nvlddmkm c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_f52c4b8723f8dd33\nvlddmkm.sys

Use Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall.

Use the Nvidia website for reinstallation

Make sure that a clean install is performed and if available install the physX driver.

    https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-DDU-

    https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx

    1. Uninstall and reinstall: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz netwtw10.sys

    netwtw10 ___ Controlador del adaptador Intel(R) Wireless para Windows 10 de 64 bits c:\windows\system32\drivers\netwtw10.sys

    1. Run Memtest86 (free version) for two tests of four passes each (total eight passes)

or run Memtest86 (pay version) for one test of eight passes

Take pictures > post images or share links into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

Plan to run Memtest86 overnight while sleeping.

Expect Memtest86 to run for many hours into the next day.

Just one error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

Memtest86 has a feature to create text / html reports.

If possible, please include the reports with the images in the share links.

    1. For any BSOD after completing all of the above steps post a new V2 share link into the newest post

    Thanks,

    I did step 1 and 2

With step 2 I disabled XMP and lowered RAM to 3200 Mhz, system didnt turn, I have a code 22 in the Motherboard display. this error code in the MB means a RAM issue long pressed the on off button, didnt turn on, had to do the same.

I went into BIOS again and tried with 3000 MHz, I coould login, but as soon as I tried to open a game it crashed, I had a BOSD as well.

Stock RAM value at 2133 MHz has no issues, have played for hours and no game crash / BOSD

The RAM should work at higher MHz, right?

The AMD link reported: Ryzen 7 3700X supports RAM speeds Up to 3200MHz

This link has information on ASUS XMP: https://www.cgdirector.com/xmp-memory-profile-guide/
